Data Furnaces

The heat generated in core processor in proportion is similar to the generated in the exhaust of a spaceship launcher.

Researchers propose to use heat produced by computers for warming houses. The result would be more secure and efficient networks, diminishing the carbon footprint.

Linear Algebra - Gaussian Elimination 2000-1600 BC

"I have published a pictorial history of Gaussian elimination. People
who worked on "numerical linear algebra" long before it was called
that are shown, and there is a rare picture of a clay tablet that
poses one of the oldest linear algebra problems, from 2000-1600 BC.
